I picked this up on Saturday. I was planning on getting it for PC, but decided to get it for Xbox instead. The extra 20$ in price sucked, but oh well. The game includes both the chaos and empire campaigns from Mark of Chaos along with adding a new campaign for the Orcs. There seems to be nothing changed from the original as I am about halfway through each of the campaigns now on normal difficulty. I am really liking the orc army' so far though. I am not happy with the first dark elf mission I have been given. They seem to have strong single units, but I need to play more to get a feel for them.

For those that are not familiar with the series the game is set in the warhammer universe. War and strife are a constant throughout the storyline from medieval times all the way through to the storylines of Warhammer 40k (40,000 years in the future). When Mark of Chaos was released it was a different kind of RTS that focused more on combat and troop management than the micro management of infrastructure. Before a battle you choose what units to take with your hero and use money to purchase equipment, blessings, and banners. In the campaign mode you earn money from battle to battle and you will need to pay to replace and soldiers that have died or spend large sums to purchase completly new units. Keeping units alive from battle to battle though is important as they gain experience. In multiplayer each comatant has a specific amount of money to spend to build an entire army before actually going into matchmaking. This all leads to a focus on troop management and actual battlefield tactics.

Overall the developer did an excellent job converting the control scheme from PC to console. Selection and management of units is fluid and pretty simple once you become accustomed to the use of triggers. The camera actually works much better in the console then it did on PC due to the use of the analog sticks. My main complaint is the extremely small size of the hero and unit icons in the hud. It is nearly impossible to see your hero's health or make out what powers are in what slots. Not to mention how much time is remaining before the power recharges and becomes available again. I am having a hard time with this on a 52" 1080i TV so it has to be impossible on smaller TV's.

I have not played online, but look forward to it. Online you will be able to choose one of the six races available...Empire (human), Elves, Chaos (human), Skaven, Orcs, and Dark Elves. I love the Skaven, but the Orcs may overtake them.
